Gardening Tips For July

  • July is the best time to apply GRUBEX to your lawn.

  • Avoid spraying pesticide to plants under stress from drought or heat.

  • Watering strawberries once a week during dry summer weather can increase next years fruit yield.

  • When harvesting Basil, cut stems rather than pulling leaves.  The result will be a bushier plant.

  • Cultivate the garden on a hot dry, sunny day.  Pulled weeds will dry quickly.

  • Watch for Japanese Beetles dining on leaves of roses, beans, grapes, and other preferred plants.
